About the Program
Studio ELE’s Back-to-School Reading Reset, happening in August 2026, is a warm, evidence-based literacy program designed to help families understand where their child is starting, what support they need, and how to build a clear path forward for the school year.
Over four weeks, students receive targeted reading and writing instruction that supports foundational skills, comprehension, vocabulary, and confidence.
Our services are currently available virtually via Zoom or in-home for families in select Northern California communities.
This program is designed for children entering grades 1–5 who may need support with:
Phonics · Decoding · Fluency · Spelling · Comprehension · Vocabulary · Writing · Reading Confidence

What’s Included

A brief starting point assessment to better understand your child’s current strengths, needs, and next steps in reading, writing, vocabulary, and comprehension.

Your child will receive eight , 60 minute, thoughtfully planned sessions designed around their individual needs, with focused instruction and supportive practice.

Instruction is designed to strengthen key literacy skills, including phonics, decoding, fluency, spelling, comprehension, sentence writing, and written expression. Based on your child’s assessments and your concerns, we will select our main focal points for the upcoming month.

Students build word knowledge, oral language, and background knowledge so they can better understand, discuss, and write about what they read.

Families receive a check-in halfway through the program with a clear update on progress, observations, and areas of continued focus.

At the end of the four weeks, families receive thoughtful recommendations and activities for continued reading and writing growth.

Families may choose to continue with ongoing Studio ELE literacy sessions for deeper support throughout the school year.
